Pabda Maach is a freshwater fish with bone and is easily available in the market nearby at our Gurgaon residence. It was quite surprising to see Pabda available in Gurgaon. This particular fish is a regular in Bengali households and I have grown up eating it.Now is the time for plums. Get a few more days. Apart from making bharta, pickles, plums can also be used to cook fish.
Ingredients
- 6-7 pc Pabda Fish
- 1 cup chopped jujube
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/3 tsp salt
- 1 tsp mustard oil
- 4 tsp mustard oil or 1 big tablespoon
- 1 pc big sized onion or 2 medium sized onion
- 2 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 4 pc green chili or 2
- 1.5 cup water
- salt as per taste
