Pabda Maach is a freshwater fish with bone and is easily available in the market nearby at our Gurgaon residence. It was quite surprising to see Pabda available in Gurgaon. This particular fish is a regular in Bengali households and I have grown up eating it.Now is the time for plums. Get a few more days. Apart from making bharta, pickles, plums can also be used to cook fish.

Ingredients

  • 6-7 pc Pabda Fish
  • 1 cup chopped jujube
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/3 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp mustard oil
  • 4 tsp mustard oil or 1 big tablespoon
  • 1 pc big sized onion or 2 medium sized onion
  • 2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 4 pc green chili or 2
  • 1.5 cup water
  • salt as per taste
