Laccha Semai, a traditional type of pasta similar to spaghetti, is generally thinner than spaghetti in English-speaking regions. In countries of the Indian subcontinent, vermicelli is available which is known by various local names like shemai in Bengali, seviyan in Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi. Many parts of Bengali use Laccha Semai to make a popular dish.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1 tbsp raisins
- 1½ tbsp pistachio
- 1½ tbsp almonds
- 2 cup lachcha semai
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 4 tbsp milk powder (2x)
- ½ litter of milk
- ½ cup condensed milk
- ½ cup custard powder + ½ cup milk
