Payesh are one of the Bengali dishes. Pujoparban, birthday, annaprashan or any auspicious occasion Payesh will be there! Pairs of Payesh are a staple in the Bengali menu during the festival. Especially, from Durga Puja to Kali Puja, the Prasad of all pujas will have Payesh, be it khichuri, labra, polao. Puja is incomplete without Payesh. Today we will see the recipe of rice Payesh.
Ingredients
- 1 cup rice
- 1 1/2 litre full cream milk
- 3/4 gm spice cardamom
- 11 sliced pistachios
- 3 tablespoon ghee
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 11 chopped cashews
- 11 sliced almonds
