Halim is a common name among the popular dishes of Bangladesh. Especially in Ramadan iftar increases its value. Iftar without Halim we cannot think now. Besides, many people like to eat haleem with parota or puri for afternoon snack. Today we bring you the recipe of authentic Bangladeshi Halim with beef. But equally you are chicken, mutton or vegetarian they can be cooked with soya nuggets too.
Ingredients
- 1 kg beef / mutton / chicken (with bones)
- 1/4 cup oil or ghee
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 tbsp chili powder or to taste
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 cup mixed dal half broken
- 2 teaspoon ground wheat
- 1/4 cup jasmine rice half broken
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoons Halim masala
- 1 cup fried onion
- 2/3 green chillies
- 1 teaspoons coriander leaves chopped
- 1 teaspoons ginger finely chopped
