Bengali Khichuri (Bhoger Khichuri) Moong Dal Khichdi traditional and famous Durga Puja khichuri/khichdi manufactured from the boiled moon dial, rice, vegetables, spices and ghee. This is a healthy Indian comfort food that is extremely delicious and an immune booster as well.
Ingredients
- 2 cup jasmin rice
- 1 cup Sona moong dal (Yellow Split lentils)
- 2 Tomatoes, medium diced
- 3 green Chillies
- 1 cup grated Coconut
- 1 ½ teaspoons bengali Garam Masala powder
- ½ teaspoon roasted Cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Mustard oil for cooking
- 6 cups of hot Water, to cook the khichuri
